Retail Price: $190.00 USD

This weekend's releases continue with the retro 9 "Spirit". I'm very impartial when it comes to retro nines, I do not own any personally and have never really seen a pair that I felt like I needed. I've like a few but I have never felt comfortable pulling the 190 dollar trigger on them. The pair pictured above has me feeling the same way, I want a pair of 9s eventually because I want to complete the Jordan clock of models 1-12. The above pair of 9s features the patented leather white upper. The midsole is a "militia" green and the same goes for the lace loops. The outsole is white which can be problematic if you are a sneaker wearer like I am. If you do like to stunt in new sneakers make sure you have a reliable sole protector, or always keep a Mr. Clean's Magic Erase in your house. Those things can take just about anything off of sneaker leather. So, for me, these 9s are going to be a pass. I don't like the colorway and it's hard to pull off a good look when you're trying to match "militia" green. If you are going after these nines this Saturday, good luck and as always happy hunting.

Release Date: This Saturday August 22, 2015
Retail Price: $200.00 USD

What's up guys and welcome to a new segment called "Things that suck, but still make Kanye West millions of dollars". If you'll look at the image above, the new Yeezy sneakers are pretty much slippers. They are obviously all black with the patented "boost" outsole. The upper is a black knit with little hints of grey in the stitching. In my opinion these things are the definition of hype, and over-hype all in one. They are charging $200 for what probably took 10 bucks to make, all because Kanye's name is tied to them. I don't often take stands against sneakers, but these are ugly and are thriving only based on hype. They look like the Nike Roshe runs took a crap, rolled around in money, and this is what was they ended up with. I mean honestly, you can get sneakers of equal if not greater quality for half the price with individualized color schemes, and unique designs at Nike. I'm not a Nike over everything guy, but I'm also not the biggest fan of Adidas as you might be able to tell from this article, however, I have owned their products in the past. They are good at one thing, making things lightweight. Making things lightweight does come at a cost, though. If you don't believe me ask Derrick Rose, Kevin Ware, Robert Griffin III. These are all athletes who have suffered extreme injuries associated with Adidas products. These Yeezy sneakers are no different, they are incredibly lightweight and airy. I just think they swagger-jacked Nike's already wonderful product: the Roshe run. It's the classic Iphone vs. every other phone debate, you can bash it all you want Samsung, BUT WHY ARE YOU STILL DESIGNING YOUR PHONES EXACTLY LIKE APPLE? That was off-topic and I apologize, so, if you've made it through this article and have maintained an unbiased opinion, I applaud you and want to hear what you think about the Yeezy Boost 350s. So, if you do snag a pair of these on Saturday, drop a comment below or hit up the IG account @Sneakerbred_.

Release Date: This Saturday August 22, 2015
Retail Price: $120.00

This weekend's final release comes by way of the chef himself, Wardell Stephen Curry. The sneakers pictured above, in my opinion, are the pick of the week. For 120 dollars I am definitely going to pick up a pair, it's awesome to see a quality sneaker for less than 150 bucks. The Curry sneakers feature an all white upper with an awesome metallic heel cap. The outsole features speckles of bright colors just like the inside of the sneaker. These are probably going to be the kicks I ball in this year, these things are CLEAN. I am a huge sucker for white and these sneakers have definitely captured my attention. I am a huge Stephen Curry fan and it makes me extremely happy that his sneaker design was not a flop like the John wall Reezigs of a few years back. I hope that his sneakers move forward and continue to see success because this colorway is awesome and I cannot wait to get a pair. If you guys are going after these this weekend, good luck, and as always happy hunting!
Pictured Below: Air Jordan Retro 7 "Marvin the Martian"
Release Date: This Saturday August 15th, 2015
Retail Price: $190.00

The Retro 7 has been quite popular recently with its killer re-releases. The Marvin the Martian colorway you see above is one of my favorites. I love the retro 7, it was my first pair of retros. I had the Cardinal 7s about 5 years ago when I was a sophomore in high school. I loved them to death because they were named after my favorite baseball team; the Cardinals. Not to mention they were colored like the red of a cardinal, which made it super easy to wear them with Cardinals or even Bulls gear. Anyways, the details on the Martian 7s are sick. They obviously have an all black upper with patented leather. Then you get into the fun neon accents on the midsole, the Jumpman logo, the tongue, and even the bottom of the outsole. They remind me a lot of the Playoff 8s, which also have awesome details on the inside and outsole. So, since I get paid on Friday I am definitely going to take a crack at these bad boys. Wish me luck and i'll do the same for you! Have a great rest of the week and happy hunting Sneakerheads.

Release Date: This Saturday July 18th, 2015
Retail Price: $190.00 USD
Welcome to Sneakerbred.com! This weekend is set for the re-release of the Air Jordan 7 "Bordeaux". The sneakers originally seen in 1992 when Michael Jordan wore them for his appearance in the All-Star game. The sneaker is coming back with a few slight differences. If you want detailed look at the OG versus the 2011 pair take a look at Sneakernews.com. As you can see the sneaker features a black and grey upper with an awesome multi-color tongue. It has that burgundy red wine type coloring giving the shoe its name; after the Bordeaux French wine. Like any other 7 it is one of the more stylishly colored sneakers the Jordan brand has released in a while. If I had the money (which I definitely do not) I would definitely scoop these this Saturday. However, if you are going after them make sure to follow some of my tips from my recent article "10 Things a Sneakerhead Needs". I say this because these sneakers are a very anticipated release and many people will be going after them. Since online sizes will be relatively limited I wish you all the best of luck. Stay hungry, and stay fresh.

Pictured Below: Air Jordan 20 "Playoffs"
Release Date: Saturday May 9th, 2015
Retail Price: $220.00 USD
The Air Jordan 20 is one of the most interesting pair of sneakers in the Jordan lineup. For those of you that have seen the Melo 1.5s, they are very similar in design. Obviously the Air Jordan 20 came first, though. The XXs feature an all black leather upper with a very detailed white strap with a combination of Jordan's branding all over it. It's most eye-catching quality is most definitely its high ankle strap that is actually detached with the upper of the shoe. It's a sneaker that will almost always require a high sock if you're not about the ankle blister life. Definitely one of Jordan's sleekest sneakers of 2015 and if it weren't for the staggering price tag, they would be a for sure cop in my book. Good luck coppin' this weekend fellow sneakerheads!
Pictured Below: Nike KD 7 "Aunt Pearl"
Release Date: Thursday February 19th, 2015
Retail Price: $170.00 USD
The sneakers pictured above are probably my most anticipated release of 2015, and we're only a month or so into it. To put some perspective on these; there are KDs that release before these but i'm posting this article first because MAN ARE THESE SHOES FLAWLESS. They feature an all white and super CLEAN upper. The trademark Nike swoosh is an alligator-like print in a brownish color with accents of orange. The shoes also feature hints of pink on the Flywire for breast cancer awareness that I will explain below.l visible above. Finally the most noticeable characteristic, the angel wing strap. I treat sneakers with lots of respect because they allow me to not only be comfortable, but they are also always with me on my journey through life. I mean, I've made friends through bonds created by sneakers, and i'm sure some of you have too. I have seen a lot in the past few months and I will never forget the sneakers that I was wearing during all the memories I made. Anyways, not only do I find these sneakers to be aesthetically perfect, they also represent a theme I hold very close to my heart. These sneakers are Kevin's ode to his aunt Pearl who lost her battle with breast cancer in 2000. Kevin was very close with his aunt Pearl and he credits much of his success to his aunt Pearl. If that doesn't show you what kind of guy Kevin Durant is, i'm not sure what does. I have had a number of people in my life suffer from cancer, but none have been as heart breaking as breast cancer. To give a little insight: I was four years old when I met my best friend Zac. At the time I had no idea of the impact he, and his family, would have on my life. The day I met Zac I also met his mom, Ronda, or "miss Ronda" as I called her. We soon started kindergarten and my mom and miss Ronda were right there with us. Through countless days spent up the hill at their house, and countless family vacations together, I had developed a second family. I've always liked to say that I am an only child by blood, but I am the furthest thing from being brother-less . Anyways, miss Ronda was just like a mom to me, most weeks I spent more time with her than my own mom. She fed me, took me to school, and even picked me up when I threw up on my fourth grade teacher (yikes) and my mom couldn't. She was a truly amazing woman but as we all know cancer sucks. On April 26th, 2013 I lost my second mom to a multi-year battle with breast cancer. The point of this short story is that we all have an aunt Pearl in some shape or form, and the sneakers above represent each and every one of us in that way, sneakerhead or not.
In Memory of Miss Ronda Sortore 4/26/13 and all women who have fought bravely against Breast Cancer.

Retail Price: $180.00 USD
Release Date: Tomorrow Saturday February 7th, 2015 @10:00 a.m.
Tomorrow marks the release of the first pair of Kobe 10s. It seems that Kobe has kept the design very similar to the Kobe line with a very basic low sneaker. The above sneaker is the "5 a.m. flight" colorway featuring a deep blue upper and an almost translucent blue outsole. It features a mesh upper which is going to be great if you are looking to hoop in these shoes. I personally play in a pair of high top Kobe 9s they are super comfortable and offer a ton of ankle support for all you like me who have rolled your ankle one too many times. Like I was saying, this mesh is going to be great for breathability letting a lot of the heat your foot generates out of the shoe. This process will help keep your feet cool and much less gross. (LOL) If you're a sucker for detail like I am the inside of the shoe offers splashes of red color that are very attractive to the eye. If you're looking for a lightweight, breathable sneaker, these might just be the sneaker for you. This is the very first Kobe 10 colorway so if you're not a fan of that upper being dangerously close to Duke blue, then go ahead and wait for a colorway that speaks to you. These sneakers are retailing at a modest 180 USD (yes 180 dollars is modest in 2015) so they are a pretty cost efficient purchase as well. Overall I give these a thumbs up and will definitely be buying a pair when they go up on NikeId. Anyways for all of you going after these on Nike remember that they have changed their release time to 10 am, it is no longer 8 am. For all of you on the west coast I'm sure you're ecstatic. Good luck hunting tomorrow morning, and I hope some of you had luck with the Dark Obsidian Foams this morning!
Pictured Below: Nike KD 7 "BHM"
Release Date: This past Saturday January 24th, 2015
Retail Price: $170.00 USD
Hey sneakerheads! This past weekend marked a big one for sneakers. Saturday brought the release of the KD 7s, Lebron 12s (Both BHM) and the "French Blue" 7s. I had the opportunity to buy any one of the three. If you've been on the site before you know I'm not a fan of spending lots of money; that immediately ruled out the Lebrons (not to mention I hate the design). So it was between the retro 7s and the KD 7s. I went with the KDs because although the retros have accents of powder blue they were honestly just too plain. I decided to purchase my third pair of KD 7s simply because this colorway is stupendous. I love the BHM inscribed across the strap and the subtle intricacies of the upper and swoosh. For those of you who are confused by the BHM acronym it simply stands for Black History Month. With Black History Month coming in just a few short days Nike has been releasing handfuls of themed sneakers in the past couple of weeks leading up to February. The pair of KDs pictured above are not only pleasing to my eye but also to my wallet. They come in costing twenty dollars less than the retro 7s and 50 dollars less than the Lebron 12s. They were the perfect solution on a weekend I did not want to come away empty handed in. I took the pictures in an effort to show how great they look in a real outdoor setting with natural light. Unfortunately in Cleveland during the winter there is very little natural light. Hope you enjoyed this article and be sure to share the site with your friends! I'm really trying to keep traffic up as I am looking to expand the site in the coming months! Hope you enjoy the sneakers you bought this weekends and be sure to check back in soon for more news on upcoming releases.
