The Air Jordan Retro III is actually one of my least favorite retro models. The only reason I scooped these 3s was because of the powder blue color way these sneakers feature. I am a huge North Carolina fan and I absolutely have to have at least a couple pairs of kicks that'll match my gear. For those of you who don't know; the greatest player to ever live Michael Jordan, went to North Carolina. He led his team to a national championship, and went on to be the best player we've ever seen. This color way is nothing short of respect for the great MJ, and is my favorite color, PERIOD. The shoe offers and elephant print midsole, with a powder blue upper. The white outsole can be risky so take care of them if you have or want a pair of your own. Featured above is my updated take on the 3s because I became a little bored with the black laces. I feel that this splash of pink offers a little bit of excitement to the shoe, and follows the "South Beach" model of the Lebrons that we've all come to know and love.
Let me know if you like the Air Jordan Retro 3 in a comment.
Matching is a pretty basic concept. When it comes to sneakerheads and their outfits, it all starts at the feet. At the start of each morning a sneakerhead selects his "KOTD" or kicks of the day, a term coined by Kicksonfire.com. Whether you're just running errands, or going out with friends the kicks of the day are crucial. These shoes more often than not determine the rest of the outifit. Let's take a look at the Puma First Rounds I posted yesterday. They are a green shoe, modeled after the popular Sprite beverage. Therefore, an outfit with a similar theme would probably be best. Given that it's summer, let's keep it simple and cool. On a hot summer day I like to wear as little clothing as possible as keeping cool is an utmost priority. So, we've selected our shoes in the Puma First Rounds, now let's grab something to wear. I've selected a green Nike Dri-Fit tee shirt, white on white Jordan shorts, forest green Nike Elite socks, and my coveted Seattle Supersonics hat. To go that extra mile, I added my pair of light green Beats by Dre Pros. It's a simple athletic outfit perfect for a hot summer day. A great outfit to complement a great pair of kicks!
