What up Sneakerheads! PK here with a brand new pair of kicks. Purchases have been slow lately as you know if you've been around the site since day one.... I am a lowly college student. I know there are plenty of high-powered sneaker sites out there but I really appreciate you guys checking out mine on the come up! Lets's get back to these 4s.... These Legend Blues are my first pair of 4s and I am a huge fan of the model. I had passed up on a few 4s in past years due to not being in love with the colorways (Thunder 4s, Military Blue 4s). However there were the ones that got away...the Toro 4s. I love this particular pair of retro 4s because they have the mother of all accent colors... POWDER BLUE. Some may argue that the accent is actually its namesake legend blue, but what a lot of people don't know is that legend blue and powder blue are actually the same thing! Legend Blue is named after Michael Jordan's time spent on Chapel Hill where he won an NCAA championship in 1982 with the North Carolina Tarheels! Jordan was so proud of his Alma Mater that he actually wore his UNC shorts under his Bulls shorts during games! Enough of my MJ fun facts, back to the shoes. I love a clean white pair of sneakers because like any quality sneakerhead knows, if you give em the proper love and respect they will look GOOD. These 4s are an interesting pair because they have textured leather on the upper and midsole. I like the look of the textured leather because it gives the sneakers that OG feel. I also like the straps and lace holders because without them I feel the 4 would be too plain. I also like the pure size of the Jordan Brand logo on the heel of the sneaker. There are accents of navy blue throughout the sneaker as well as the interior of the shoe. They are more comfortable than most retros. Overall I definitely recommend copping these if you can get em around retail on a site like Kixify.com. Check back for the 10k site view post and for info on this weekend's Frenc Blue 7s!

Love Derrick Rose, but I hate Adidas products. So, I am a huge Bulls fan and it just so happens Derrick Rose is my favorite player. So, a little information about Derrick if you didn't know already: he won the 2011 MVP award as a 23 year old. He is arguably the most explosive point guard of our time, and has the quickness of a track sprinter. Anyways, he has always been sponsored by Adidas which is my least favorite part of being a D-Rose fan. If you didn't know Adidas products are associated with tons of brutal injuries, RG3's ACL, D-Rose's ACL, and Kevin Ware's tragic Bone fracture. Adidas does not have the greatest rap sheet and in my opinion their product designs aren't even that great. However, I do own tons of NBA jerseys because I collect jerseys and they're a huge part of my closet. (Adidas sponsors the NBA) Now, on to the shoes at hand. The D-Rose 5s are one of the better Adidas shoes released in recent years. They are lightweight to match the play style of Derrick Rose and they offer good breathability. They come in pretty basic colorways like the ones pictured above. I think $160.00 is far too expensive for a shoe with this little material, but hey times are changing. I like the red upper and the blue laces I think that's a cool combo but the black and white mid and outsole is pretty basic. For me the only Adidas shoes I have ever owned were the 2011 Adizeros. I only bought them because it was 2012, they were only $60.00 and I wore them to varsity practice. Adidas is good at making lightweight shoes but they need to focus more on durability and safety of the athlete. For me until they make those changes I would steer clear of Adidas sneakers, sorry D. Rose, I still love you.
For those of you who follow the NBA, the Chicago Bulls released Carlos Boozer using the amnesty policy today. That means the Bulls will have some more cap space to make additional moves. It's good moving towards the 2014-2015 season especially with the Bulls courting Pau Gasol of the Lakers. I'm not a fan of the move to acquire Gasol, but we'll see where it takes them. To summarize, look out for the Bulls in this market, and next season!
