The sneakers pictured above are my very first pair Kevin Durant signature sneakers. I had thought about purchasing a pair of the KD 4s in the year prior, but I ended up deciding against it. Looking back I should have bought a pair of the 4s because I love the 7s and man do they look alike. I like the 5s better than the 6s and less than the 7s, so all in all they serve a decent purpose in my sneaker closet. I chose this particular pair because I like the colorway and I was actually in Washington D.C. when they dropped. I was in town for the Bulls vs. Wizards game (the Bulls lost) I got to see the entire team as they walked past me into their 4 Seasons hotel in Georgetown. It was in Georgetown that I visited the Nike store where I found these beauties. They had been deserted by all the customers that chose LBJ and Kobe over our dear Kevin Durant. I scooped these up as I did not want to leave Georgetown empty handed because I had already been snubbed by the Bulls' body guard for an autograph. So that's the story behind my KD 5s now let's get into specifics. They clearly have a teal-ish blue upper with orange laces and egg shell splatters on the Nike swoosh. They are a very light shoe and are a high top offering fairly decent ankle support. They run a bit small like all KDs and even a bit narrow, but I went a size up and they still fit great to this day. If you can get your hands on a pair of KD 5s I would definitely recommend the Easters if you don't mind catchin' a few whoas from onlookers. Have a great day and check back in tomorrow for a themed surprise!
